And I was quite surprised by the amounts of texts and emails I got from people asking me if I was the next Doctor...”

In Doctor Who Magazine 408, DWM recounts the tales of what happened when the Doctor Who team filmed in Dubai... and catches up David Tennant, as he looks forward to his final adventures the Doctor.

Does David reckon he’ll be sentimental on his last day as the Doctor? “I don’t know how I’ll feel when I get there,” he says. “It’ll probably be very scrutinised. I don’t know if the last day will be anything like the last in story terms. Usually you’re so out of sequence that your final scene is something very unimportant – walking down the street or opening a door – so time will tell. But it’s – what? – 12 weeks away, so I’ll cope. I’ll find ways of coping.”

Doctor Who Magazine #401

By Mark
The 401st issue of Doctor Who Magazine was released on Thursday and is now available in all good newsagents across the United Kingdom at the price of £3.99. This month's issue features interviews with some of the younger stars from The Sarah Jane Adventures, takes an in depth look at Davros, the creator of the Daleks, and much more. The cover for the issue can be seen above and the press release for the issue can be seen below;

Davros, creator of the Daleks is reborn

DWM talks exclusively to the people responsible for Davros' recent return, including Head Writer Russell T Davies and prosthetics expert Neill Gorton.

Was Russell tempted to use Davros’ revival as a means to finally reinvent and clear up some of his complex backstory, once and for all?
"I never really worried about tying his history together," Russell admits, "except I was convinced he had to have a metal hand, because it was so clearly blown off in Revelation of the Daleks. So no, I didn’t do any research as such. I didn’t rewatch Genesis, because I wanted to act off my memories. Somehow, that seems a more creative state to be in. I did worry that we never had a proper explanation of his injuries, but then realised that Genesis never did that either, so it was good company to be in! Although I did write a sort of creation story"
"There was one scene where you were going to see an explosion, and Davros was injured," recalls Neill. "We weren’t actually going to show his face burnt and disfigured in its full gory glory, because it would have been just a little extreme, so I think you were only going to see glimpses of his head, with smoke rising, and his hair burnt off"

Also in this issue;

The Fourth Doctor!
Tom Baker's Doctor was the first to meet Davros. And Davros and the Doctor would meet again, many, many times. Philip MacDonald traces the life and times of everybody's favourite megalomaniac and asks just what is it that drives Davros' insane ambitions?

The Fifth Doctor!
The Fact of Fiction is whisked down a time corridor to 1984 and takes a close look at Davros' encounter with Peter Davison's Doctor in Resurrection of the Daleks.

The First Doctor!
His era introduced the Daleks, the best-known monsters of them all. Neil Harris pays tribute to the man who really created the Doctor’s iconic enemies, writer Terry Nation, in You Are Not Alone.

The Sixth Doctor!
The children of Davros have returned – and this time it's personal! DWM exclusively talks to the people behind a brand new audio adventure for Colin Baker’s Doctor, Brotherhood of the Daleks.

The Tenth Doctor!
Can he save Magenta Pryce from the horrors of the Space Gulag? And just who are the monsters lurking in the depths of the jail? Find out in Part Two of the latest, full colour, comic strip adventure – ThinkTwice.

The Eighth Doctor!
He’s back – and he's about to encounter Zygons, Autons, Morbius and more! DWM goes behind the scenes of the latest series of Doctor Who radio adventures, and speaks exclusively to the cast, including Paul McGann, Sheridan Smith, Graeme Garden, Art Malik, Clare Buckfield and James Fleet.

The Seventh Doctor!
It's Time Team and The Rani, as the gang go back to 1987 and get to grips with giant brains and glittery drains in Sylvester McCoy’s frankly unbelievable début adventure.

The Third Doctor!
We first met Sarah Jane Smith during Jon Pertwee's years as the Doctor... and her story continues to this day, in the The Sarah Jane Adventures! Join DWM as we watch the filming of the intrepid journalists' latest series, and talk to the cast and crew.

Er... the Ninth Doctor!
Okay, we’re getting a bit tenuous now. He's the one that Russell T Davies introduced us to in 2005. Russell takes us backstage at the TV Quick & TV Choice Awards in Production Notes and reveals what happened when the teams who make Doctor Who, Life on Mars and, um, Loose Women met up!

The Second Doctor!
He gets a mention on page 6!

The Next Doctor! (Highlight to reveal as it is the title for this year's Christmas Special and may be considered a spoiler by some fans who don't want to know)
DWM reports the latest news on the forthcoming Christmas Special – and has news on the Specials of 2009!

Plus! Competitions, reviews, and an exclusive chat with the kids from The Sarah Jane Adventures.

The next issue of Doctor Who Magazine, issue 402, will be released on the thirteenth of November and feature an exclusive interview with Nicholas Courtney. Phil Collinson will also be interviewed in the issue and more from behind the scenes of The Sarah Jane Adventures series two will be included. Will you be buying the 401st issue of Doctor Who Magazine?

Episode Review: Series 3 Episode 13 "The Last Of The Timelords"

By Mark
Main Characters: The Doctor (David Tennant), Martha Jones (Freema Ageyman), Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman), The Master (John Simm)

Basic Storyline:
This story is set One year after “The Sound Of Drums” and follows on with the story.
Earth has been closed and labelled as “Terminal Extinction”. Martha Jones walks the Earth and arrives back in great Britain after a long year of travelling telling the story of what the Doctor told her to do. Martha, travelling around with the perception filtered TARDIS key kept her hidden wherever she went.
Martha meets Thomas Milligan , a doctor, who can take her to Professor Docherty so Martha can “Know her enemy”. Rumours going round on Earth say that Martha Jones it the only one who can save the Earth, the only one who can kill The Master.
The Master on the Valiant Is keeping The Doctor as a prisoner, Martha’s family as servants and Captain Jack chained up. The Master shows The Doctor “A New Timelord Empire” where there is time lord rockets being built.
At Professor Docherty’s lab, Docherty is trying to fix the TV to see a transmission from the man himself, The Master. Martha watches the transmission with Tom and Docherty. During the transmission The Master makes the Doctor older and older making him regenerate to show his 900 years. The Doctor now is small and even weaker than before.
The Toclafane are practically indestructible but Martha states that there has only ever been once occasion when humans have got close to one which happened due to a lightning strike.
Tom, Martha and Professor Docherty rebuild the electric force and manage to kill a Toclafane. Opening the Toclafane is the other half of the job. However when opened they make a horrific discovery. The Toclafane are the human race from the future. Martha realises this as the Toclafane says “the sky are full of diamonds” realising that it was Crete who was sent on the Utopia Project. Toclafanes share the memories with the human inside. Tom asks why they kill and the Toclafane replies “Because It’s fun”, Tom then shoots the Toclafane dead as it is a threat.
Docherty questions Martha asking if the legend is true , asking if she can kill The Master. Martha shows Docherty a Gun developed by Torchwood and UNIT which is able to kill a timelord with its four components. Martha has travelled the world to find all components for the gun and come back to London to find the last part. Tom and Martha set to go and find the last chemical. Docherty stays behind and after they have left tells the Arkangel network she has information for The Master concerning Martha Jones.
Martha stops to sleep and tells the people in the house of The Doctor and how he has saved their lives so many times and they didn’t even know. The Master comes to the surface after finding out about the gun and makes Martha come out of the house to hand him the gun. Martha is forced to throw the bag which she throws in the middle of the floor, The Master destroying with his Laser Screwdriver. The Master then threatens Martha, Tom running out in way of the laser, killing himself to protect Martha.
Martha then is brought aboard The Valiant, forced to kneel in front of The Master, her family and The Doctor.
As the clock counts down Martha reveals what she really was doing travelling across the world. Martha told everyone about the Doctor and to all think of that word “Doctor” when the Master is just about to launch the rockets for the new Time lord empire.
The anti-regeneration gun that could supposedly kill a Time Lord was fictional and a plan to trick Professor Docherty and The Master. All the world, thinking of one word at one specific time with 15 satellites (The Archangel Network) made The Doctor regenerate back to look young as he had a year to tune into the Archangel Satellite Network.
The Doctor then hovers in the sky, The Master scared running into the wall behind him scared of what The Doctor would say. The Doctor then says “I Forgive You”.
The Master orders the Toclafane to protect the Paradox Machine, Jack and some men go to stop the Toclafane and destroy the Paradox Machine.
Using the Vortex Manipulator, The Master teleports himself and The Doctor to Earth, away from the Valiant. Captain Jack manages to destroy the Paradox Machine meanwhile The Doctor manages to teleport himself and The Master back to The Valiant.
The Doctor then reverses time, One year and One day, just before the Toclafane arrived and just after the President was killed. Everything is back to normal on Earth, the only people who will remember the events are those in the “Eye Of The Storm” those on the Valiant.
The Master makes a run for it while The Doctor is introducing himself to Clive (Martha’s Dad) however Captain Jack stops him and handcuffs him.
The Doctor then declares that The Master is his responsibility as a Time lord and he will be kept in the TARDIS as he can’t be trusted. Francine Jones (Martha’s Mum) is forced out of shooting him, but Lucy Saxon (The Master’s Wife) does it for her and shoots the Master.
The Doctor then goes to comfort the Master pleading him to regenerate as it’s only a bullet. The Master refuses as he wouldn’t want a life imprisoned with The Doctor. While dying The Master says “I win” and then dies. Upset, The Doctor cries, sad that he is the only Time Lord left.
The Master is then cremated by The Doctor. A Female hand (Supposedly Lucy Saxon) picks up The Master’s ring from the cremation with an eerie laugh echoing in the background.
Back on Earth, Captain Jack Harkness is welcomed aboard The Tardis however he refuses because of responsibility for the Torchwood Team of his. Jack questions whether he will ever die or age. The Doctor simply doesn’t know. Captain Jack then tells The Doctor and Martha that he was the first person from the Boeshane Peninsula to join the Time Agency and people used to call him “The Face of Boe”. Captain Jack then runs off back to the Torchwood Institute, Martha and The Doctor laughing at the thought of Jack being The Face of Boe.
Back at the Tardis, The Doctor is ready to move on however Martha isn’t ready. Martha decides to stay on Earth as her family need her and she could finally become a Doctor. Martha gives The Doctor her phone, telling The Doctor that when that rings he had better come back for her. Martha then leaves the Tardis, The Doctor on his own.
The Tardis flies away and arrives at another location. After a few seconds of relaxing , The Titanic crashes into the Tardis ripping the inside apart. The Doctor replies with his “What? What? What?!?” line.

Extra Information : Martha Jones (Freema Ageyman) will appear in 3 episodes of Torchwood Series 2 and the last 6 episodes of Doctor Who Series 4. Astrid (Kylie Minogue) is the Doctor’s Christmas companion. Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) returns in Doctor Who Series 4 for all 13 episodes as The Doctor’s Companion. Martha and Donna will have to share the Doctor in the last 6 episodes.

A Song which I personally think would go well into the episode:
“I’m Gonna Be (500 miles)” this song would go well because Martha walked more than 500 miles for the Doctor, to spread the word “Doctor” all over Earth. The lyrics say “I would walk 500 miles”

My Rating: 10/10 (More if possible)

Episode Review : Series 3 Episode 7 "42"

By Mark

Main Characters: The Doctor (David Tennant), Martha Jones (Freema Ageyman), Captain Mcdonnel (Michelle Collins)

Basic Storyline: The episode starts in the TARDIS where the Doctor makes changes to Martha's mobile phone, enabling it to call anywhere in time and space. The Doctor tells Martha this is a 'frequent flyer's privilege'. As Martha is about to phone her mother they land on a very hot spaceship. Taking into account that the engines are not in operation, Martha and the Doctor start to wonder what is going on in the ship. A monitor announces that the projected time until impact of the sun is 42 minutes (hence the episode title).
The Doctor suggests Martha and one of the crew to open a series of password-protected doors in order to get into the control room where engines can be activated so they can escape from the Sun.
Martha and Riley continue to open doors by answering Pub Quiz style questions set by the crew, years previously, after a night of drinking. The questions include a crew member's favourite colour, and the next in a series of what turn out to be happy prime numbers. To answer another question, Martha has to ring her mother, and Martha's Mum , Francine, is not alone there is a mysterious woman at her house.
Korwin's (Mcdonnels Husband) status is not good after reports of "seizure" from Abi. The crew hears Abi's pleads for assistance as Korwin gets up and backs Abi against the wall. Korwin speaks in a deep voice, "Burn with me". He opens his eyes and a powerful light (almost heatwaves) come out and Abi has been killed.
The crew now worried run up to where Abi was to find her burn out shape on the wall, Mcdonnel decides to make an announcement to the crew warning the crew to stay away from Korwin and they think he has resulted in the death of Abi. The Doctor makes the conclusion that He reasons that Korwin has been infected in some way by something, and can vaporize people somehow.
Another Crew Member, Erina Lessak, then says to herself i wish someone would just kill me (tired of chores) and it looks like Erina got her wish because Korwin was right behind her. So far Korwin had killed Erina and Abi. But who's next, 2 of the crew are already dead.
Korwin then goes to find Ashton. Eventually finding Ashton , Korwin says"they are getting too far", and infects Ashton too. Ashton goes after Martha and Riley, who are scared and lock themselves in an escape capsule (Not knowing it was an escape capsule).
Ashton tries to override the system and jettison the escape pod so Riley tries to make the jettison hold, the escape pod is changing action practically every minute.
Ashton then punches the system trapping the Doctor and Martha in the escape pod flying towards the sun. Trouble for Martha and The Doctor is there to save her every step of the way.
He puts on a space suit and tells McDonnell he is planning to pull the capsule back to the ship by setting the magnetic pull off the ship.
Martha phones her mum once more and tells her mother that she loves her and tries to get her to simply talk about her life (as if in a normal situation at home). Francine (Martha's Mum) is suspicious and asks and asks whether The Doctor is with Martha which then causes Martha in tears and hangs up the phone saying Martha loves her.
The Doctor meanwhile struggles to press the magnetic pull control buttons on the side of the ship saying its beyond his reach. Luckily he eventually manages it. Cimbing back into the ship The Doctor looks at the sun and realises its alive! Unfortunately by staring into the sun the Doctor is now infected. Martha and Riley get out the ship to find The Doctor lying on the floor where his eyes glow brightly. Mcdonnel arrives on the scene and the Doctor explains to her that she illegally mined the sun for fuel, without checking for life signs, she has seriously injured the living being within the sun. He tells them that the sun is alive in him, and tells them how they can save him.
The Doctor is placed into cryogenic stasis machine to get the sun entity out of him. Scared , The Doctor is heard for one of the first times admitting his nervousness and how scared he is he asks Martha to stay with him. Worrying he is going to die, The Doctor says to Martha
"There is this thing which happens when I am about to die" Implying Regeneration.
Martha doesn't listen and simply replies
"It doesn't matter because that is not going to happen"
Martha starts the freezing process but it is interrupted by Korwin, who turns off the power to the stasis chamber from the engineering department.
The Doctor then tells Martha that she must go to the front of the ship and jettison the fuel, to give the sun back what Mcdonnel stole so the Sun would no longer infect anyone.
The Doctor loses the fight against his possession and collapses onto the floor and gasping "Burn with me". Mcdonnel then encounters Korwin where she hopes he recognizes her but he only just about does. Mcdonnel opens the air lock and flies out towards the sun sacrificing herself with Korwin for the memories they had. Martha releases the fuel and the ship flies away with The Doctor no longer possessed.
Martha and The Doctor go back to the TARDIS where he gives her a TARDIS key for helping her saying its another 'frequent flyer's privilege'. The Doctor and Martha then head off for a new adventure.
Martha calls her mother back. Francine invites her over for tea and informs her that it is Election Day. Martha accepts, telling the Doctor to bring her home in time. After Martha hangs up, we see the woman, and two other men, tapping Francine's phone again. Confiscating the phone, she asks Francine who she has voted for, but Francine won't say. The woman thanks her for all she has been doing, saying "Mr. Saxon will be very grateful."
My Favourite Lines:
The Doctor : "That Sun's Alive! A living organism and They scooped out its heart, used it for fuel and now its screaming
Captain Mcdonnel : "What Do You Mean how can the sun be alive? Why is he saying that?"
The Doctor : "Because Its Living In Me"
My Favourite Scenes:
1) The Doctor reaches out to the button to take the escape pod back, epic music and really exciting.

AND
2) The Doctor is possessed with his eyes heating up when he explains to Mcdonnel whats happened. Also the dumping of the fuel.
Broadcast :19th May 2007
Viewing Figures: 7.0m viewers, with a 36% audience share. Doctor Who was the most watched programme for Saturday.

Confidential : "Space Craft"

Confidential Viewing Figures : Unknown at this moment.

A Song which I personally think would go well into the episode :
"Hot" by Avril Lavigne , Its getting hot near the sun and the crew are hot.

My Rating: 10/10

The Episode ends where we see Tim as an old man with the watch in his hand at a remembrance ceremony. Tim spots the Doctor and Martha, realising they looked the same and had a smile on his face. This was a very emotional scene and emotional episode.
The Doctor and Martha are ready for more adventures in the TARDIS, the next one involving Weeping Angles in "Blink"

The Doctor (John Smith) : "I want to me John Smith, I don't want to be The Doctor, why me."

My Favourite Scenes:
1) The emotional scene where the children and teachers are shooting at the Jackstraws and John Smith feeling emotional and not shooting.

AND

2) The Doctor says goodbye to Joan and the scene which shows how The Doctor allows The Family to live on forever just like they wanted to. Also the very emotional scene of Tim when he is older still remembering The Doctor and Martha.

Doctor Who Magazine #405

By Mark
The 405th issue of Doctor Who Magazine was released today and it is now available in all good newsagents across the United Kingdom at the price of £3.99. This month's issue brings you the latest news, some production notes from Steven Moffat and much more including exclusive interviews with both Matt Smith and Susie Liggat. The cover for the issue can be seen above and the press release for the issue can be viewed below;

The Eleventh Doctor Speaks... in DWM 405!

Following in the tradition of previous Doctors, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant, the eleventh Doctor Who – Matt Smith – has given his first interview to the official Doctor Who Magazine.

In Issue 405 (published Thursday 5 February 2009), Matt talks exclusively in his only interview since getting the role...

On how he plans to go about playing a 950-year-old Time Lord:
“The script is where it starts, it’s always about the words, and luckily we’re in the hands of Steven Moffat [Doctor Who’s incoming Head Writer], who has this show ingrained in his soul and searing through his blood. It’s really born into his whole fabric – and that’s the job for me over the next few months, to make this show part of my fibre. I think Steven is going to be the main creative source for me, and we’re going to discover it together – who the Doctor is in Steven’s mind and words, coupled with pockets of my personality, my history, my life, and the man and the human being that I am. I’ve got a meeting with Piers [Wenger, executive producer] next week to discuss that, but I think we’ll start rehearsing and, you know, just sit around Piers’ or Steven’s kitchen table, read the scripts together, talk about the part. We’ll talk about my intentions, their intentions, how we feel it can fly, and sing, and be as brilliant and as Doctor-y and as excellent as it can be.”

On what he might wear as the Doctor:
“I’m a big fan of long coats and rather dashing scarves in everyday life, so who knows? For the audition, I rocked up in whatever, so I think they’re having to tone down what I wear in real life for the Doctor! I am a rather elaborate dresser. That’s what’s lovely, there are all these exciting things – what’s he going to wear, what’s he going to do in his first scene with his companion, which monsters will he meet, will he meet the Daleks? This show is so alive, it really is. I can’t ever quite forget that I’m the Doctor – which is weird, because it’s still so far away. But it’s always there in my subconscious, because it’s the Doctor! It’s like, there’s Sherlock Holmes, James Bond, and Doctor Who. It has resonance in our cultural fabric.”

Showrunner-in-waiting Steven Moffat shares exclusively with DWM readers just what it's like to cast a new Doctor Who in Production Notes.

She's worked on some of the most highly-acclaimed Doctor Who stories of all time! Susie Liggat talks candidly to DWM about her experiences as the producer of the UK's best-loved drama series.

Episode Review Series 3 Episode 5 "Evolution Of The Daleks"

By Mark
Main Characters: The Doctor (David Tennant), Martha Jones (Freema Ageyman), Dalek's and Daleks Sec (Voiced by Nick Briggs)

Basic Storyline: Carrying on from "Daleks In Manhattan" this episode was an exciting action packed adventure! The Dalek Mutant, talks to The Doctor saying the human races qualities such as war, anger and hatred the human race is much like the dalek race . The Doctor holds outa radio. Using his Sonic Screwdriver, he causes the radio to make a high pitched sound which deathens the Daleks and the pig-humans. Then, hastily on their feet The Doctor and Martha run with all the humans the daleks had captured through the sewers back to Hoover Ville, on their way they find Tallulah and she follows them.
Back at Hoover Ville Soloman announces there are creatures are out there and they need to arm themselves. Within a matter of a few minutes one of the campers at Hoover Ville spots a Pig-mutant and runs back to the The Doctor and shouts "Monsters" then the Doctor says "It's Started" The Pig slaves are grabbing people and taking them back to the sewers while all the people at Hoover Ville gather round the middle when suddenly a Dalek appears in the sky! Trying to reason with The Daleks, Soloman makes a brave speech and asks them what they say, The Dalek replies
"Exterminate"
Then the crowd go wild with Daleks blowing up Hoover Ville with great explosions! The Doctor shouts "Stop" then the Daleks analyse they have located The Doctor and are about to Exterminate him when Dalek Sec (Hybrid) shouts stop save The Doctor. The Doctor is told to follow and gives Martha the physcic paper which will allow her access into The Empire State Building.
Back at the Daleks hide-out Dalek Sec shows The Doctor their Genetics Lab full of humans with nothing left inside them, basically just a corpse. Dalek sec wants to fill their blood with partially dalek blood but the other Pure Daleks refuse and pump pure dalek blood into them. The Doctor and Laszlo escape to the elevator and ascend to the top of The Empire State Building. The Doctor climbs to the top spire where he tries to remove the Dalekanium but can't remove it in time before the Solar Flare. The Doctor then gets onto the spear and the blood which goes into the humans have part Time Lord DNA after the doctor got electrocuted. The Doctor then uses his sonic screwdriver in the theatre to allow the dalek humans (with the blood from genetic lab) are on the March to kill The Doctor to locate him.
The army breaks in. Daleks Thay and Jast come in, with Sec in a chain and crawling like a dog. The Doctor tries to tell the Daleks that what they have done to Sec is wrong, because he is the most intelligent Dalek who ever existed. They attempt to exterminate the Doctor, but Sec begs them not to and blocks their fire, which kills him. This angers the Doctor; he again tells the Daleks to order the Dalek-humans to kill him, but one human Dalek repeatedly asks "Why?", and eventually states that they are not Daleks. The Doctor reveals that, because he hugged the pole as the lightning came through, some Time Lord DNA was mixed into the hybrids and gave the Dalek humans freedom. The Dalek humans open fire on Thay and Jast and destroy them. Back in the building, watching via the visual link, Caan states that the Dalek humans are a failure and commands "Destruct", and the entire race dies.
After witnessing this genocide, the Doctor arrives at the Empire State Building, and confronts Caan and offers to help. He tells Caan that he is probably the only person in the universe that would give him mercy, because he has seen enough death today - they are now both the last of their species and he does not want to see another genocide. Caan replies with "Emergency temporal shift" and, as the Doctor lunges forward to stop him, vanishes. Laszlo is brought back to life by The Doctor and is allowed a place in Hoover Ville, Tallulah and Laszlo live on despite the changes from The Daleks.
So Caan is the only Dalek in existence. Exciting Plot!

My Favourite Line: The Doctor : "They have Time Lord DNA , just that little bit of freedom *winks*!"

My Favourite Scenes:

1) The Daleks fighting the Dalek Humans with Time Lord DNA.

AND

2) The Daleks exploding Hoover Ville

AND

3) The Doctor and Caans confrontation at the end.

Broadcast :28st April 2007

Viewing Figures: 6.5m (2 million more than Daleks In Manhattan) viewers, with a 37.8% audience share.

Confidential : "Making Manhattan"

Confidential Viewing Figures : Unknown at this moment

A Song which I personally think would go well into the episode : "Exterminate Annihilate Destroy" by Rotersand, the Daleks sing the chorus.

Episode Review : Series 3 Episode 11 "Utopia"

By Mark
Main Characters: The Doctor (David Tennant), Martha Jones (Freema Ageyman), Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman), The Master (Derek Jacobi and John Simm)

Basic Storyline: The Tardis lands in Cardiff to refuel, while at the “Pit Stop” as Martha describes it, The Doctor notices that the Rift has been active. Captain Jack Harkness runs towards the Tardis as it starts to dematerialise. Jack manages to grab onto the Tardis. Jack is then left clinging on to the Tardis as it flies through Time and Space to the end of the universe.
Martha and The Doctor step outside to find Jack on the floor. Quickly running in to the Tardis to get the first aid kit, Martha examines Jack telling the Doctor he is dead. However Jack is revived after a few minutes, because of the fact that Jack can’t die.
However Jack, The Doctor and Martha aren’t alone on the planet Malcassairo. The futurekind are chasing humans for prey, what The Doctor describes as a “Manhunt”.
Chased to the transport site, The Doctor, Martha and Jack meet Professor Yana and his insect like assistant Chantho. Professor Yana needs help with spacecraft to Utopia, and he confronts The Doctor for help. The Doctor manages to fix one part of the ship but he needs to fix another involving a room where there is tons of radiation. The Experimental Drive is the room, one man loses his life attempting to do it. He lost his life due to a Futurekind smashing the power systems. Realising they need a man who can’t die to go in the room , Jack heads into the room.
While in the room Jack and the Doctor have a long talk about what happened since The Daleks had killed Jack on Satellite Five. Jack then realises Rose brought him back to life using the time vortex. The Doctor realises how Jack got back to Earth using his vortex manipulator.
Jack successfully does the job for the experimental drive but not everything is going to plan where Martha is. Professor Yana is hearing the sound of drums in his head and while talking to Martha he takes out his fob watch identical to The Doctor’s (used in “Human Nature and “The Family Of Blood”). Martha runs to The Doctor to tell him. Gallifreyan text Is on the fob watch and the Doctor explains what they are used for , to change Time Lord DNA into Human DNA. Jack and Martha then realise that The Doctor isn’t the last of the Time Lords and say to The Doctor
“That’s Good, Right?”
The Doctor replies “It Depends which one”
Professor Yana opens the fob watch turning himself into The Master. Now we realise what The Face Of Boe meant in Gridlock when he says “You Are Not Alone” meaning he isn’t the last of the timelords. Also the initials of “You Are Not Alone” spell out YANA as in Professor Yana.
The Master opens the gate letting the Futurekind in and shuts the Doctor, Martha and Jack out. Chantho then pulls out her gun and threatens The Master, however the Master gets her first and knocks her out. With her last bit of Life Chantho shoots The Master. Jack breaks the seal on the locked door and manages to get to the Master with the Doctor and Martha. However The Master goes into the Tardis and locks the doors. The Master then regenerates. The Doctor pleads The Master to stop but he simply refuses and flies off in the Tardis, leaving The Doctor, Jack and Martha stopping the Futurekind in because Jack broke the lock to get in.
Exciting Stuff. The story follows on in “The Sound Of Drums”

Favourite Lines:
“You Two We Are at the end of the universe, right at the very edge itself and you’re busy, Blogging!” (This is a funny line and also because this website is blogging, the quote is now on the sidebar of the page)

AND

“Captain Jack Harkness and who are you?” as well as “Maybe Later Blue *Wink*”

My Favourite Scenes:
1) The Scene where the Doctor, Jack and Martha are running from the Futurekind.

AND

2) The Master’s Regeneration and the whole sequence where Professor Yana opens the watch to become The Master.

Broadcast: 16th June 2007

Viewing Figures: 7.3m viewers, with a 36.9% audience share. Doctor Who was the second most-watched programme for Saturday, after Britain's got Talent on ITV1.

Confidential : "’Ello,’ello,’ello "

Confidential Viewing Figures : Unknown at this moment

A Song which I personally think would go well into the episode: "Heyo Captain Jack” by Iko Iko because Jack is back in this episode.

My Rating: 10/10

DWM takes a stroll in the woods with Fourth Doctor, Tom Baker. As we pick our way through the trees, we learn how to make the perfect bonfire, why Tom owns a gravestone and why it’s not a good idea to combine drinking and acting…

“In those days… it’s a long time ago, and it’s a world that no longer exists. It was a world where wine was available all the time, and hard drinking was a sign of being sociable. An actor who said, ‘No thanks, I can’t drink, or won’t drink’ wasn’t very interesting, because most of the conversation was fuelled by alcohol and cigarettes...”

New Doctor Who Files

By Mark
Four new Doctor Who Files are set for release on 1st October 2007. There has already previously been 8 other Doctor Who Files, and these are the new set are; Martha Jones, Captain Jack, The Tardis and The Cult Of Skaro. Each book is packed with facts, quizzes and pictures.
Here are my synopsis' for each book;
Doctor Who Files : Martha Jones Volume Nine
This Doctor Who file will take an in depth look at the character of Martha Jones. Martha Jones accompanied The Doctor on his adventures throughout Doctor Who Series 3 and is set for a return in Doctor Who, halfway through Series 4. Martha is also going to join Torchwood for 3 episodes of Torchwood Series 2.

Doctor Who Files : The Tardis Volume Ten
The Doctor Who file will take an in depth look at The Doctor's trusty time travelling machine, the Tardis. TARDIS stand for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. The Tardis' Interior has been redecorated quite a few times since the start of Doctor Who, way back in 1963.

Doctor Who Files : Captain Jack Volume Eleven
This Doctor Who file will take an in depth look at the character of Captain Jack Harkness. Captain Jack first appeared in Doctor Who Series 1 Episode 9 "The Empty Child" and stayed with The Doctor and Rose through Series 1 up until Series 1 Episode 13 "The Parting Of The Ways" where he was left behind. However Jack used his Vortex Manipulator to return back to Earth where he then joined Torchwood in hope of meeting The Doctor one day. Captain Jack then met The Doctor again in "Utopia"/"The Sound Of Drums"/"The Last Of The Timelords". Captain Jack will be next seen in Torchwood Series 2.

Doctor Who Files : The Cult Of Skaro Volume Twelve
This Doctor Who file will take an in depth look at The Cult Of Skaro. The Cult of Skaro first appeared in "Army Of Ghosts/Doomsday" where we saw them engaged at war with the Cybermen. When The Doctor and Rose opened the void, all the existing Daleks were sucked into the void, however The Cult Of Skaro survived using "Emergency Temporal Shift". The Cult of Skaro were then seen again in "Daleks In Manhattan"/"Evolution Of The Daleks" where they were seen planning the "Final Experiment". The Final Experiment involved humans of higher intelligence being turned into Dalek Humans, and those of lower intelligence being turned into Pig Slaves. Dalek Sec also turned into a Dalek/Human hybrid in these two episodes. There remains one member of The Cult of Skaro in existence and that Dalek is Dalek Caan.

Once these are released this is how the Doctor Who Files collection will go, in order;

Doctor Who File : The Doctor Volume 1
Doctor Who File : Rose Tyler Volume 2
Doctor Who File : Slitheen Volume 3
Doctor Who File : Sycorax Volume 4
