Freema In Law & Order: UK Tonight
New Freema Agyeman Interview
Is she, or is she not, returning to Doctor Who?
"There has been some speculation but nothing has been confirmed. Talk to anyone in the world of Who and they'll say you never feel like you've left. Ask Billie Piper. David Tennant bounds on to set every day and says, 'Right people, what are we doing today? Am I getting strung up, frozen, flung about a room?' It's a lovely unique environment because people are so passionate. It goes beyond a day job. So, of course, I would resurrect her when the time is right, whether in 10 years or one."
You can read the full interview here on Scotland on Sunday's official website. Freema's future with Doctor Who and Torchwood is still at the moment unconfirmed but we do however know that she will be starring in the first episode of 'Law & Order: UK' tonight. More information about Law and Order will be posted on this site shortly. What do you think of this interview?

The next repeat on Watch will be the third episode of Torchwood series two, To the Last Man, and that will air this Saturday at 9pm. What do you think of the comic strip?
David Tennant Talks Matt Smith
"We chatted on the phone not long ago and we did exchange a few opinions on what’s about to unfold for him, but advice is a very dangerous thing. Matt’s got an extraordinary journey coming up in all sorts of ways and I’m sure he’ll find his own way through it. I could tell Matt was very up for it, though, and excited in all the right ways. He says he’s going to take it seriously and he seems to have the right idea about playing The Doctor, so far as I can tell."
David Tennant will return to our screens as The Doctor in Planet of the Dead which is scheduled to air sometime around Easter. Michelle Ryan, Noma Dumezweni and Lee Evans will also star in the episode which will be written by both Russell T Davies and Gareth Roberts. The episode will be available in high definition when it broadcasts and the Doctor Who team have recently returned from Dubai where they were filming important scenes for the episode. You can view some images from the filming in Dubai here in a previous post.

Children of Time Wallpaper - New Dimensions
After posting an exclusive wallpaper I made on Sunday, I have had a few requests for various different things. Some people have requested the addition of more characters to the wallpaper and some people have requested the wallpaper to be available in different dimensions. Seeing as there is a lack of room on the wallpaper, I unfortunately won't be adding the extra characters but have managed to make both versions the wallpaper available in different sizes. Both colour variants are now available in the sizes; 1280 x 1024 and 600 x 800. The blue version of the wallpaper can be downloaded in 1280 x 1024 format here and 600 x 800 format here whereas the red version of the wallpaper can be downloaded in 1280 x 1024 format here and 600 x 800 format here. David Tennant Enters the Shakespeare Hall of Fame
Peter Davison SFX Interview
What was your reaction when you heard about Matt Smith being cast? Did you think they’d go for someone more well known? Or someone older?
I only ever had one thought on my wish list – get an actor. With that in mind he seems a perfect choice. However, I hope they don't get too dogged about never casting older actors for the role in the future.
Can you see yourself ever going back to Doctor Who again, as you did for “Time Crash”?
I can certainly see myself, but I don't think it will happen.
The full interview can be read online here. Peter Davison played the role of The Doctor for a total of three years. He first played the role in 1982 and then left the show in 1984. Peter is also the father of Georgia Moffett who played Jenny in the sixth episode of Doctor Who series four, The Doctor's Daughter, and you can find more information about him here.
Tardis and Torchwood Treasures Turns Two
As well as marking the anniversary of Saint Valentine, today also marks the second anniversary of this site. This site was created two years ago today and has since gained over 429,000 hits. I have made a total of 1309 posts before this one and have managed to keep the site updated every single day barring two days when my computer unfortunately had to be repaired. At the time of posting, I also have 77 blogger users subscribed as followers and have completed a total of ninety four episode guides. Many more pages will be added over the site's next coming year and I will hopefully be able to continue to update the site on a daily basis. I can't promise I will be able to do this however due to many reasons. These reasons include the fact that there may not be as much news this year due to there being less episodes of Doctor Who and less episodes of Torchwood which will air over a shorter time period. I will also be completing my GCSE examinations this year as well as starting either college or sixth form meaning I may not have as much time to make posts as I currently do. I'm hoping these things won't affect the site though and am hoping that you, my visitors, will be able to understand if there are no updates on the site one day in the future. I'd like to take this time to thank everyone who has ever helped the site, visited the site, left comments on the site and sent messages of support to me. It makes creating this site all worthwhile and I hope you enjoy the next year that's coming for Tardis and Torchwood Treasures. To celebrate this site's second birthday, I will be posting an exclusive wallpaper I have made sometime tomorrow. Wishing you all the best, with thanks, Mark.

More information will be posted about Planet of the Dead as soon as it becomes available.

Elisabeth Sladen: The Autobiography
When Elisabeth Sladen first appeared as plucky journalist Sarah Jane Smith in 1973 "Doctor Who" story "The Time Warrior", little did she know the character would become one of the most enduring and fondly remembered in the series' history. The coming years would see her traverse time and space alongside classic Doctors Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker, whilst a generation of children crouched behind the sofa, terrified but transfixed as their tea time heroine found herself menaced by Daleks, dinosaurs, Cybermen, man-eating alien flora, Egyptian mummies, extras in bubble wrap and even the Loch Ness Monster. By the time she quit the TARDIS in 1976, making front page news, Elisabeth had become one of the most familiar faces of a TV golden age. But that wasn't the end of Sarah Jane. Since then Elisabeth has reprised the role many times appearing in anniversary specials; a 1981 spin-off with robotic sidekick K-9; radio plays; and for the BBC's "Children in Need". She's toured the weird, wide and wonderful world of "Doctor Who" fandom and regularly tops polls of fans' all time favourite companions. So when TV wunderkind Russell T. Davies approached her to come back again, this time to a Doctor Who backed by multi-million pound budgets and garlanded with critical plaudits, how could she possibly say no? Now Elisabeth Sladen tells the story of her remarkable career.
This book is expected for release in March next year and at the moment will go on sale at an RRP of £16.99. It will apparently contain over three hundred pages and plans have only been revealed to release it as a hardback. As with most autobiographies, a paperback edition may however be released a few months after the hardback edition is released. More information, including the cover and news of any possible book signings, will be posted as soon as it becomes available. Will you be buying Elisabeth Sladen's autobiography when it's released?

Doctor Who The Rising Night
The story of a brand new adventure for the Doctor, as played by David Tennant in the hit BBC One series. The TARDIS arrives in an 18th Century village in the Yorkshire Moors, where livestock has been vanishing from the farmland and strange lights have been seen in the skies. Something is very wrong here, and he soon becomes involved in a nightmarish adventure, in which he is helped by a young local woman named Charity. Who is feeding on the blood of the locals, and where will the carnage stop...?
The Rising Night will be released on the second of July and go on sale at an RRP of £9.77. At the moment, it is unknown who will be narrating the story but if it's to go by the past audio adventures; Pest Control, The Forever Trap and The Nemonite Invasion, it will be read by one of the show's main cast members. More information, including an image of the cover, will be posted as and when it becomes available. Will you be buying this when it's released?

Doctor Who The Dalek Project Graphic Novel
BBC Books have recently released some details about an upcoming Doctor Who graphic novel called The Dalek Project. The Dalek Project will be written by Justin Richards, illustrated by Mike Collins who has worked on many Doctor Who Magazine comic strips and feature an introduction by Russell T Davies. It will be the first Doctor Who graphic novel to be released by BBC Books and the publication's official synopsis can be viewed below;
1917: The Great War is at its fiercest and most terrible. But things are about to get even worse… When the Doctor arrives at Hellcombe Hall in England he discovers a house full of mystery. There are locked doors and forbidden rooms, dustsheets cover guilty secrets, the maid Mary Carter is scared of the ghosts... And that’s before Corporal Anderson finds that his muddy corpse-filled trench ends in the drawing room.Armaments manufacturer Lord Hellcombe has a new secret weapon he believes will win the war. But when the Doctor witnesses the final demonstration he begins to realise how much danger everyone is in. Because Lord Hellcome claims to have invented the Dalek. Except, of course, that nothing is quite what it seems. The Doctor and his new friends must draw on every type of early 20th century technology and every element of human ingenuity and bravery if they are to discover the truth and to survive. If they are to prevent the entire Western Front of World War One from becoming part of The Dalek Project.
The Dalek Project will be released on the twenty fourth of September and go on sale at an RRP of £14.99. Justin Richards, the author of this graphic novel, commented that he's very excited about this book as the graphic novel format lends itself to storytelling on an epic scale. He then said told us that because of this we can expect to see the Daleks at their most cunning and awesome, and the Doctor at his most brilliant and heroic. What do you think of the book's cover and synopsis? Will you be buying The Dalek Project when it's released?
