Torchwood The Dead Line Radio Adventure Details

By Mark
BBC Audio have recently released some information regarding the third of this year’s special Torchwood radio adventures. The story will be titled ‘The Dead Line’ and it will be written by Phil Ford. John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David Lloyd will all star in the audio adventure and they will voice their respective characters; Jack, Gwen and Ianto. The adventure will have an approximate running time of an hour and it will also be released on CD later this year. You can view the adventure’s CD cover above and view its synopsis below;

When a Cardiff hospital is inundated with patients who have fallen into coma-like trances, Torchwood moves in to investigate in the third part of this brand new series of extra-terrestrial investigations starring John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd. The trances appear to have been triggered by phone calls, all received on retro phones and made from a number that hasn’t been active for more than 30 years. Determined to find out who’s been calling the unfortunate victims, Jack rings the mysterious number – two, zero, five, nine. It seems to be a dead line … until Jack is called back. The third and final episode, The Dead Line, is written by Phil Ford.

The Dead Line will broadcast on the third of July at 2:15pm on BBC Radio Four. It will follow Golden Age which will air on the second of July as well as Asylum which will air on the first of July. Asylum and Golden Age will also both air on BBC Radio Four and like with The Dead Line, their transmission times will also be 2:15pm. You can view more information about Asylum’s CD release here and view details regarding the release of Golden Age on CD here. This CD for The Dead Line is scheduled for release on the eighth of August and it will go on sale at an RRP of £9.77. Will you be purchasing a copy of this CD when it's released later this year?
