Latest Doctor Who Special News

By Mark
The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, which is on sale now at the price of £3.99, has revealed that a trailer for the second of this year's specials will be shown at the end of Planet of the Dead along with the title of the episode itself. In the issue, Russell T Davies also reveals that the second special will air before the Christmas period which means that it will transmit at an earlier date than previously announced and expected. You can view a quote made by Russell T Davies below;

"The next three specials will be shown in the second half of the year. It was said, in some interviews, that all three would air around Christmas time, but plans have changed since then. We can't give away exact dates yet, except to say that you should be seeing Episode 4.16 before the Christmas period."

David Tennant will reprise his role as the 10th Doctor in all four of this year's specials. Michelle Ryan will play his companion, Lady Christina De Souza, in the first of the specials and Lindsay Duncan will play his companion, Adelaide, in the second special. Casting for the final two specials are at the moment unknown but we do however know that the episodes will see the 10th Doctor in circumstances leading up to his regeneration. More information about this year's four specials will be posted here on this site as soon as it becomes available.

    Personally, I think this is great news and can't wait for all four of this year's specials. Planet of the Dead is only seven days away now :D.
