News Of The Damned

By Mark
The Doctor Who Christmas special is going to be extra special this year, Voyage of the Damned is going 11 minutes longer than the previous two Christmas specials. Airing at 6:30pm on the 25th December, Voyage of the Damned is an outstanding 71 minutes long. Not only will the episode be longer than usual but there will also be an hour long Doctor Who Confidential going behind the scenes of Voyage of the Damned on BBC Three at 8:30pm on the night of the episode. On the 27th December, Voyage of the Damned will be repeated with subtitles for the deaf. What more could we ask for? Maybe some new features on the BBC Doctor Who site after the episode? Well that’s what will be happening, as reported here.
On the subject of the BBC Doctor Who website, you can now open door number five on the Doctor Who Adventure Calendar. Behind door number five are four print off Doctor Who Christmas Cards which can be found here. Cards number 1 and 2 feature David Tennant (The Doctor) and Kylie Minogue (Astrid) on the front whereas cards number 3 and 4 features pictures of The Porg and the “hosts” (Angels) on the front. Doctor Who Christmas Cards can also be found in your local WHSmith at the moment, keep your eyes peeled. The money from the retailed cards goes to charity and the card design is of The Doctor. Also when you hover over The Doctor and Astrid on the BBC Doctor Who homepage a countdown till Voyage of the Damned will pop up. In other news there are a few more promotional pictures of Voyage of the Damned around on various websites and EastEnders have being filming some Doctor Who scenes. Bradley and Stacey Branning will be visiting a Doctor Who Exhibition in the show some time soon, more will posted on this as we get it.
What do you think of Voyage Of The Damned being 11 minutes longer than usual? Do you like the Christmas Cards on the Doctor Who Adventure Calendar? What do you think of EastEnders filming Doctor Who scenes?
