Mike Skinner Cast in Doctor Who Series Five?

By Mark
Mike Skinner, who is well known for his singing career in his band 'The Streets', recently updated his official Twitter page with a message revealing that he will be starring in an episode of Doctor Who's fifth series next year. Shortly after he posted the message, it was removed from his page and this is likely to try and keep his casting a secret. The message that was posted on his Twitter page was as follows;

"You wouldn't believe the week I've had, I can't talk about it but let's just say I got a part in Doctor Who."

Mike Skinner's official Twitter page can be found here online. At the moment, it is unknown whether Mike Skinner will be making a cameo appearance in an episode of the series or playing a character in one of the stories but more information about Mike's casting will be posted here on this site as soon as it becomes available. Doctor Who series five is scheduled for transmission in Spring next year and it will see the 11th Doctor played by Matt Smith and his companion, Amy Pond, played by Karen Gillan.
