According to various different sources, Gillian Anderson is being lined up for a role in the upcoming fifth series of Doctor Who. Gillian Anderson has appeared in many television shows and films during her career and is probably most well known to the public for her role as Dana Scully in The X-Files. In the articles, the reporters suggest that she will be play The Rani who is an old enemy of the 6th and 7th incarnations of The Doctor.
