The results of this year's Visual Effects Society Awards have recently been announced and The Mill have been successful in taking home an award. The Mill, who work on the computer generated creations for Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures, won the award for their matte paintings that featured in the Doctor Who series four episodes; Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead. Their creation of the Cyber King for The Next Doctor, the latest episode of Doctor Who, was also nominated for an award but lost out to one of Battlestar Galactica's computer generated images.
