This year's Visual Effects Society award ceremony will take place on the twenty first of February and Doctor Who has been nominated in two different categories. The Mill's fantastic effects of the Cyber King in The Next Doctor have the chance of winning the award for "Outstanding Visual Effects in a Broadcast Miniseries, Movie or Special" and the computer generated creation is competing against; Generation Kill, John Adams and Knight Rider. The matte paintings of the library in Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead have also been nominated for an award and that is for "Outstanding Matte Paintings in a Broadcast Programme or Commercial".
