Torchwood: Children Of Earth

The picture above was made by me.
In the latest issue of Torchwood Magazine, issue number eight, Russell T Davies has revealed that that the title of Torchwood series three's five part story is "Torchwood: Children Of Earth". It is unknown at the moment whether each episode will have it's own title or each will be named as parts. The story promises to be as epic as ever and Russell said that if he had to give fans two words about the series they would be "Euros Lyn". Euros has directed many Doctor Who stories over the past few years including Steven Moffat's recent episodes Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead. He will be directing all five parts of Torchwood: Children Of Earth. According to the magazine the story will broadcast over one week in Spring 2009. Filming for the series will start later this month with principal photography starting on the eighteenth of August. What do you think of the title for the story?

Sounds amazing, can't wait to see it! The title makes me think back a bit to Journey's End, 'Children of Time'. It probably have Jack, Gwen, Ianto, Martha to replace previous medic owen, and Mickey to replace previous hacker Tosh. (mickey's hacked a few times)

Cool Post and Picture. The Third series of Torchwood does sound very exciting. To be honest I think they will just be called “Part 1, Part 2, etc” to cause less Confusion. Not to sure how I feel about Euros Lyn directing it. I wouldn’t say Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead had the best directing. Shame Graeme Harper isn’t directing, he is the best director in the Whoinverse ever! Shame no confirmation of Freema joining Torchwood. It did look like Martha and Mickey are joining Torchwood at the end of Journey’s End. D: Cant wait until Spring D: Despite the fact it already sounds amazing it will be very hard to beat Torchwoods Second series which was just amazing.

Yeah Euros Lyn did a poor job directing the Moffat two parter. I mean did you remember the part about them avoiding shadows in the script? How come they were almost going out their way to walk through them.

But I do think he's been good before, although Harper is better. We'll see.

Don't crytisyse (sp?) Euros Lyn. He's fantatsic. Just just try doing that hard two parter. And a64 please, don't. He tries his best. Stop trying to sound cool.

My interest lies in whether this "Children of Earth" after "Children of Time" thing has changed with Freema possibly leaving so abruptly for "Law & Order: UK".

DoctorWho92: I'm not asking for perfection, but it's like the guy didn't even try. The fear and suspense of the episode was totally ruined by his directing. It was completely unscary, and it was due to directorial issues.

The directing was fantastic, and so was the storyline. But like Steven Moffat said: it wasn't supposed to be a scary story. It was supposed to be a space library story in which the Doctor collides with his future.
