Einstein And Eddington Press Release

Information about Einstein And Eddington, an upcoming show starring David Tennant, has recently been released by the BBC. David Tennant will play Arthur Eddington in the show and the information released by the BBC can be seen below;

"David Tennant and Andy Serkis star in this drama set amid the chaos and uncertainty of the First World War. Einstein And Eddington chronicles the interlinked stories of two extraordinary men striving for a greater truth while refusing to be constrained by national boundaries.

Albert Einstein (Serkis) spent years working on his General Theory of Relativity, which threatened to overturn two centuries of Newtonian certainty and the foundations of British science. Arthur Eddington (Tennant) was a prominent British astrophysicist who, as a Quaker, believed that "truth knows no boundaries" and bravely championed Einstein’s theories while Britain rejected anything German.

In 1919, Eddington undertook an expedition to Africa to photograph light bending round the sun during an eclipse. These photographs not only proved the theory to be correct, but turned Einstein into a worldwide superstar.

Directed by Philip Martin (Prime Suspect – The Final Act) and written by Peter Moffat (Hawking), Einstein And Eddington co-stars Jim Broadbent, Lucy Cohu, Jodhi May and Rebecca Hall."

Einstein And Eddington will air this Autumn on BBC Two. You can view a clip from the show here on Blogtor Who. In other news it's rumoured that the title of this year's Doctor Who Christmas special will be Ghosts in Machines (Highlight to reveal).     i will watch this as d.t is a brilliant actor and I'm sure he'll fit the part really well.

    David Tennant should be good in that, dont think ill watch it though. And that title sounds cool for the xmas special.

    Cool Post. David Tennant is a fantastic actor, cant wait to watch this. For some reason that picture of David reminds me of the role John Smith he played in Series three, Human Nature / Family of Blood. That title is very cool sounding.

    I doubt I will watch this, but cool post anyway.

    As for the title, it's okay, just a bit too similar to the third episode of Torchwood series one. Besides, it comes from SylvesterMcCoy.com, so I would take it with a pinch of salt.
