Torchwood Series 2 BBC America January

BBC America have now officially announced the date in which Torchwood Series 2 will air in the United States. The second season of Torchwood will start in America on January 26th 2008. No date is yet confirmed about when Torchwood Series 2 will start here in the UK however it will probably a week or two before America. Here is what BBC America have to say;

January is Torchwood month with the return of BBC America's hit sci-fi show and DVD Release. BBC America's all-time highest rated show, Torchwood, is back with a U.S. premiere second season, beginning January 26, 9:00pm ET/PT. Warning the next section of this post contains major spoilers for Torchwood Series 2, so look away if you don't want to be spoiled.
Joined by Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who’s Martha Jones) for three episodes and with guest stars Richard Briers (Monarch Of The Glen), Alan Dale (Ugly Betty, Neighbours) and James Marsters (Buffy The Vampire Slayer), Torchwood journey from contemporary Cardiff to the 51st century, and back to the First World War. On their travels, they battle fearsome new aliens; a rogue Time Agent; a tragic Time-Slip from the Great War; and a memory thief who uncovers long-forgotten secrets among the entire team.

This is of course great news for both American and British fans of Torchwood. Torchwood Series 2 will be airing on 26th January for America and most probably a week earlier in the United Kingdom.

    Well, that's a bit of refreshing news. I thought we'd have to wait six months to a year to get series two. Fantastic! Can't wait to see how Martha Jones interacts with the team.

    Wait, I just worked out that if we get it a week earlier, then the end of Torchwood (and the start of Doctor Who since they wouldn't let it overlap surely) would be April 16th or something. Surely not that late?!
