Prepare For Adventure

By Mark
The BBC Doctor Who Website has been updated with a new homepage for The Voyage Of The Damned. The homepage shows a picture of The Doctor and Astrid with two gold covered aliens. Many people are speculating that these aliens are the Axons from the classic series of Doctor Who and in my opinion they do look very similar to the Axons. Also on the homepage it says prepare for adventure ... 01/12/07 which I suspect is the fact that the 1st December is the first day of advent. The BBC Doctor Who Website may be doing a Doctor Who Advent Calendar this year, like last year. More news will be posted on this as we get it. Also The BBC Press Office have released some information about The Voyage Of The Damned in the TV listings for Christmas Day;

Kylie Minogue steps back in time this festive season, as she joins Time Lord David Tennant for a spectacular Doctor Who Christmas Special set on board The Titanic.
At the end of the last series, viewers witnessed the The Titanic crash through the Tardis walls in spectacular style, and the action continues from that moment.
Kylie, who plays Astrid, a waitress on The Titanic, says: "It is an incredible thrill to be joining David and the entire Dr Who production for this year's Christmas special. Dr Who enjoys a unique history and it is going to be very exciting to be a part of that."
Two of Britain's best-loved sitcom actors, Geoffrey Palmer and Clive Swift, also feature in this Christmas episode.
Palmer, perhaps most famous for his roles in the long-running BBC series Butterflies and As Time Goes By, plays the role of Captain of The Titanic.
Kylie Minogue stars as Astrid, alongside David Tennant as The Doctor. Voyage Of The Damned also features Gray O'Brien, who recently appeared in the Oscar-winning film The Queen; Debbie Chazen, star of the BBC comedy series The Smoking Room; Olivier Award-winner Clive Rowe; Russell Tovey, from the smash-hit film The History Boys; Jimmy Vee, who previously appeared in Doctor Who as the Moxx of Balhoon; and George Costigan, who starred in The Long Firm and the acclaimed film Rita, Sue And Bob Too.

I can't wait to watch The Voyage Of The Damned , the aliens from the publicity pictures look amazing, I wonder where The Porg will fit into the story and which alien will be the main enemy.
In other news don't forget that X-amining Kylie is on BBC Radio 2 tonight at 10:30pm and at one part of the show, David Tennant will be interviewing Kylie Minogue. Also there is some exciting news to post later on a returning companion so don't miss out.
