Richard Curtis Joins Doctor Who's Writing Team

The BBC have recently revealed and confirmed that Richard Curtis, the founder of Comic Relief, will be writing an episode of Doctor Who for its upcoming fifth series. 'The Boat That Rocked' is the title of Richard's most recent movie and at the moment, he is working on a film that is called 'Lost for Words'. Richard's other television and movie credentials include; Love Actually, Notting Hill, Mr Bean's Holiday and The Vicar of Dibley. You can view more information about Richard and his work here. Apart from Steven Moffat who will be the head writer for the series, it is currently unknown who else will be writing episodes of Doctor Who series five. The fifth series of Doctor Who will air next year and it will see Matt Smith take on the role of the 11th Doctor. Karen Gillan will play his companion, Amy Pond, and more details will be posted as soon as they become available.
