According to overnight ratings, the fourth episode of Torchwood's third series was watched by a total of 6.2 million people last night which gave the episode an audience share of 27.0%. The episode, Day Four, was the second most watched programme of the day and scored the highest figures that Torchwood has ever received to date. An unconfirmed amount of people also watched Day Four, the fourth part of Children of Earth, in high definition on the BBC's HD channel and final figures for the episode will be released in ten days time by BARB.
