David Tennant To Present Comic Relief

By Mark
It was officially revealed yesterday that David Tennant will be presenting the first hour of this year's Comic Relief alongside Davina McCall. As well as presenting the actual Comic Relief telethon on the thirteenth of March, David will also be narrating Comic Relief: The Fools' Guide on the third of February at 22:35pm on BBC One. Speaking on a pre-recorded video screened at The Empire Cinema, David said;

"It’s a great honour for me. I remember the first Red Nose Day when I was at school, buying the t-shirt and everyone joining in, And then, later, at drama school, me and my mate Alan McCue formed a Proclaimers tribute act and went busking in Sauchiehall Street. We were rubbish, but earned £65 in our lunch hour. The people of Glasgow are very generous."

Previous Doctor Who related Comic Relief events include; Catherine Tate's comedy sketch with David Tennant, the inclusion of Doctor Who chocolates in last year's Red Nose boxes, David Tennant's appearance in the music video for the charity single "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" and Billie Piper's appearance in the advert for WalkEARs. All money raised for Comic Relief goes to a fantastic cause and you can visit the official website for Comic Relief here.
