As previously reported, David Tennant has had to pull out of recent Hamlet shows due to a back injury. The Royal Shakespeare Company have now confirmed that David won't be returning to the role until after Christmas and that Edward Bennett will carry on being his understudy until he returns. David underwent surgery for a prolapsed disc on Thursday and fortunately all went well. He will hopefully feel better after Christmas and in the meantime, you can send David your get well soon messages here.
