The Sarah Jane Adventures Series Three Confirmed

The BBC have recently published a new press release detailing the future of The Sarah Jane Adventures and other programmes that are aimed at children. Thanks to the press release, we now know that The Sarah Jane Adventures will be back for a third series which is due to air in Autumn 2009. Russell T Davies will oversee the series and the extract about The Sarah Jane Adventures from the press release can be viewed below;

On CBBC, Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen) returns for a third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures in Autumn 2009, produced by Doctor Who supremo Russell T Davies. Together with her companions Rani and Clyde and her adopted son Luke, Sarah Jane once again comes face to face with a whole host of weird and wonderful alien beings.

The full press release with details of other children's programmes can be viewed here. The Sarah Jane Adventures series two is currently airing on BBC One and the CBBC channel. Her adventures continue this Monday with the second part of "The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith" airing on BBC One and the first part of "Enemy of the Bane" (Highlight to reveal) airing on the CBBC Channel. The complete first series of The Sarah Jane Adventures is also now available for purchase on DVD. What do you think of this news?
