Remembrance Day

By Mark
Today, the eleventh of November, is Remembrance Day. Remembrance Day marks the anniversary of the end of the first World War and it's ninety years ago today that the war ended. Many brave people fought for our country and today, as well as last Sunday, we take the time to remember them. A silence took place at 11am today in honour of the soldiers and special commemorations were made at the Cenotaph in London. Poppies are worn as a symbol of remembrance and you can find out how you can help to support The Poppy Appeal and The Royal British Legion here.

I've helped The Poppy Appeal and The Royal British Legion by donating a pound for a poppy and buying the fantastic X Factor single Hero :)
