We now know, thanks to early previews of Russell T Davies’ upcoming book “The Writer’s Tale”, that Journey’s End was originally going to end on a cliffhanger featuring the Cybermen. The scene was written and filmed but a decision made by the production team saw the scene cut from the final edit of the episode.

It never made it to the final run of the episode but it will be one of the deleted scenes that features on the Doctor Who series four box set. The box set will be released on the seventeenth of November at an RRP of £69.99 and some pictures from the scene can be seen above thanks to Blogtor Who. What do you think of this news?
