5 Episodes For Torchwood Series 3?

The BBC have now commissioned a third series of Torchwood and according to Julie Gardner, the show's executive producer, there are plans for five-part mini-series. Filming for the series begins in August and apparently all 5 episodes will air in one week, each of them being an hour long. Here is what Julie is quoted as saying;

"We've decided to do a five-part mini-series, one big story that will run during one week, I wanted to make a really big noise about the show."

We also now know that John Barrowman has signed up for the series and will definitely be appearing again as Captain Jack Harkness. Julie also promised that fans will be pleased with the casting for the series and it's also rumoured that the show will be on BBC One next year.     Awesome post nice pic there.
    It sounds very interesting and if it is 5 episodes they can make 5 brilliant episodes with all the money they have! =D

    cool if this is true it will be very different from the previous series as we will have a continuous story, it will also be good to see who joins the team

    Great Image. I have mixed feelings. Yes it might be Good to have a Continuation Story with Five Parts but then again it might not. Well, we will have to wait and see. Might be Good, Hopefully it will be.

    Hmmm...not totally sold on this idea. I'd prefer a full season. I'd wager money that Martha Jones will be a full-time cast member in whatever episode configuration they choose.

    I think 5 episodes might work well, hopefully anyways. It's not yet confirmed or known whether Martha will be in it but there's quite a lot of speculation suggesting that she will replace Owen. Only time will tell though lol. Thanks for your comments :)
