Elisabeth Sladen Beccles Christmas Lights
Elisabeth Sladen, star of The Sarah Jane Adventures and Doctor Who, will be turning on the Christmas Lights in Beccles at 6pm tonight. Elisabeth will also be signing books and posters at the event. Here is what the Beccles And Bungay Journal has to say;
Doctor Who star Elisabeth Sladen will switch on the Beccles Christmas lights this evening at 6pm. The actress, famous for her role as Sarah Jane Smith, will also be giving prizes to the winner of the children's poster competition and the Beccles Business Association award for the best Christmas shop window. It is the sixth year of the town's Christmas late night shopping event, which also includes funfair rides and stalls selling festive refreshments. This year Upper Blyburgate and Exchange Square will be closed for the event. There will be live entertainment from the band Tropical Heatwave, Norwich Samba Band, London Brass Band and the Salvation Army. Father Christmas will be making an appearance and parking will be free in council-run car parks from 3.30pm. Miss Sladen will also be signing books and posters at Blyburgate Hall in the evening - tickets for this event are £3 from Kulture Shock in Blyburgate.
Will you be going to see Elisabeth switch on the Christmas lights? If so I hope you enjoy the event, it would be much appreciated if you could send any pictures, comments , videos or anything related to the event here. If published, credit will be given.
On the subject of Christmas , it's the first day of Advent tomorrow, it's not long now till Christmas or Voyage Of The Damned. I have got the Doctor Who Advent Calendars, have you?
